Art... what is it to me? Why do I love it? 

These are all valid questions to ask and ponder about in life. Art has been a varied controversial subject throughout mankind's existence. Some people call art a breeze moving leaves in Autumn and others call art like Vincent Van Gogh's masterpiece A Starry Night. Art is a very subjective subject honestly. People have many different types of opinions and ideas of what art is and is not.

What is art to me?

Art to me is the expression of one's very essence of who they are, I would say it is the very expression of a person's soul. Whatever form this takes is that expression. This can be as simple as dancing, singing, joking, and yes painting! I believe art takes many different forms and it can be expressed in a lot of different ways for people. Not everyone is going to be the same when it comes to what art is to them. I personally love and indulge in impressionism art myself. I love the style, the brush strokes, the hidden meanings, the colors, and the atmosphere of it. 

Why do I love it?

That is a good question, I have pondered this question for my entire life and still do to this day. To answer honestly, I love art because it is a way for me to express my emotions in a healthy manner. I feel deeply connected to God and the universe when I am creating art, viewing art, and simply thinking of art. I feel the most peaceful, myself the most, and my inner most being lights up like a thousand bright stars. It truly brings me the greatest joy that life has to offer. That is why I love art.
